Published by Hodder & Stoughton, London; 2008. First Edition. Condition: Very Good+ / Very Good+.
This is a smart modern example of one of the later novels by Le Carré. This first edition s bound in it's original black cloth boards with silver title to the spine. There is a little bumping to the edges, but otherwise the binding is tight and clean. Inside, there is some crinkling to some pages, it would appear water has at some point been spilled on the book, and a little of the red from the ffep has stained the half-title page (see photo). This is however, the only negative to this book, which is otherwise in very tidy condition.
The dust jacket shows the same evidence of water spillage, with a slight crinkling. There is minor bumping to the edges and a little red staining to the reverse of the front flap. However, in spite of these small points, the jacket is smart and unclipped.
In all, this is a very good example of this modern first edition and would complement any modern book collection, or make an enjoyable read.
