Published by Charles Scribner's Sons, New York; 1964. American First Edition. Condition: Near Fine/Good.
Bound in original boards with gilt signature to from and title to spine, other than some minor bumping to the corners and spine ends and a very small mark to the front board, the binding is in smart condition and remains tightened strong. Inside, there is just a hint of toning. There is a small pen mark to page 40, which is otherwise blank, but otherwise the pages are clean and bright.
The book is housed in the original dust jacket. There is bumping and chipping to the edges, with some loss to the top of the spine. There is also a little fading to the spine, but overall it is in good condition.
This is a smart example of this modern first edition by one of the twentieth centuries most renowned authors and would be a worthwhile addition to any Hemingway collection.
