Published by Methuen & Co., London; 1929. 8vo. First Edition, first impression. Illustrated by E. H. Shepard. Condition: Very Good
This is a lovely copy of this collection of stories from the WInnie the Pooh books, published in 1929, a year after the final book in the series was first released. It contains some of the most loved stories and verses from the Winnie the Pooh tales. Bound in it’s original blue boards with gold gilt detailing, this book is in Very Good condition. There is fading to the spine, some general rubbing and chipping to the spine ends and board corners, and some mild rubbing and staining to the boards. Overall, however, the binding remains in smart condition.
Inside, there is an ownership inscription to the front free endpaper, but otherwise the pages are clean and bright with only the occasional age spot or slight toning and generally in excellent condition.
Overall, in spite of the inevitable ageing and wear, this book is in very tidy, smart condition and would be an excellent book to collect and enjoy.
