Published by Doubleday, London; 2003. 320pp. 8vo. First edition, first impression. Condition: Fine/Near Fine.
A beautiful example of this first edition, the thirtieth from the Discworld series. Bound in it’s original dark blue boards with gilt title to the spine, the binding is square and tight and in very smart, collectible condition with a little bumping to the spine ends and corners. Inside, the pages are clean and bright and free from blemishes or wear, with just a touch of toning to the pages.
The dust jacket is also in smart condition, unclipped and as bright as the day it was published, illustrated by Paul Kidby. There is a little shelf wear to the edges, but it is otherwise in excellent condition.
In all, this is a particularly lovely example of this first edition, appearing barely read and in near perfect condition. It is the thirtieth instalment from Pratchett’s phenomenally successful series, and the first to based on Tiffany Aching. There's trouble on the Aching farm - a monster in the river, a headless horseman in the driveway and nightmares spreading down from the hills. And now Tiffany's little brother has been stolen by the Queen of the Fairies (although Tiffany doesn't think this is entirely a bad thing). This beautiful book would be the perfect addition to any book collection or an excellent gift for any lover of the Discworld series.
