Bound in original burgundy cloth boards with title in gilt to the spine. The biding is square and tight and in excellent condition, with just some bumping to the spine neds and edges, and a dent to the spine just above the title. The biding is otherwise clean and free from marking.
Inside, the pages are clean and bright and in very smart condition, free from damage and with barely a hint of toning. It is signed by the author to the title page.
In all, this is a very smart and collectible signed example of this first edition of Wilson's third novel, which follows the misadventures of a man drawn into a career in organised religion. This example is in lovely condition, and would be the perfect addition to any collection. It is rare to find a signed first of this title.
