Published by Victor Gollancz, London; 1996. 288pp. 8vo. First edition, first impression. Condition: Fine/Fine.

A beautiful example of this first edition, the nineteenth from the Discworld series. Bound in it’s original grey cloth boards with gilt title to the spine. The binding is square and tight with barely a hint of bumping to the spine ends, it is in very smart and collectible condition. Inside, the pages are clean and bright and free from blemishes or wear, with just a touch of toning to the pages, the book appears barely read.

The dust jacket is in equally smart condition, unclipped and as bright as the day it was published, illustrated by Josh Kirby. There is just a touch of bumping to the spine ends and corners, but it is otherwise in free from marks or damage and in excellent condition.

In all, this is a particularly lovely example of this first edition, appearing barely read and in near perfect condition. It is the nineteenth instalment from Pratchett’s phenomenally successful series, and the third in the City Watch trilogy. It is a Discworld Howdunnit! As autumn fogs hold Ankh-Morpork in their grip, the City Watch have to track down a murderer who can't be seen. It would be the perfect addition to any book collection or an excellent gift for any lover of the Discworld series.
