Published by Bloomsbury, London; 2006. 8vo. 146pp. First UK edition, first impression. Condition: Fine/Near Fine.
Bound in original brown cloth boards with title in gilt to the spine. The binding is square and tight with barely a hint of bumping to the spine ends. Inside the pages are clean and bright, and free from blemishes. The book appears unread and practically as new.
The book is housed in its original, first issue dust jacket. There are a few tiny marks to the rear panel, and minor bumping to the edges, but the jacket is otherwise smart and bright and in lovely condition.
In all, this is a very smart example of Vonnegut's hilariously funny and razor-sharp look at life, art, politics, himself and the condition of the soul in America today. Loosely written as a memoir, this work is an intimate and tender communication from one individual to his fellow humans - sometimes kidding, at other times despairing, always searching. It is illustrated throughout with Vonnegut's trademark artwork. (blurb). This example would make an excellent addition to any collection of Vonegut's work.
