Published by Doubleday, London; 1998. First edition, first impression. Condition: Near Fine/Near Fine
A beautiful example of this first edition, the twenty-third from the Discworld series. Bound in it’s original black boards with gilt title to the spine, the binding is square and tight with just some bumping to the spine ends and corners, and a small patch of white speckling to the top corner of the front board. Overall it is in very smart and collectible condition. Inside, the pages are clean and bright and free from blemishes or wear, with just some toning to the pages.
The dust jacket is in equally smart condition, unclipped and as bright as the day it was published, illustrated by Josh Kirby. There is a little shelf wear and creasing to the edges, but it is otherwise free from damage or marks.
In all, this is a particularly lovely example of this first edition, appearing barely read and in near perfect condition. It is the twenty-third instalment from Pratchett’s epic Discworld series, and the first to star vampires. It would be the perfect addition to any book collection or an excellent gift for any lover of the Discworld series.
