Published by Jonathan Cape, London; 1987. Fine/Fine.

This excellent copy of this modern first edition by Martin Amis is in Fine condition. Tightly bound in it’s original black cloth boards with gilt lettering to the spine, there are no issues to mention and the boards are in excellent condition. There is perhaps the slightest beginnings of some bumping to the spine ends, but this really is barely visible. Inside, the book is in equally nice condition, with just some toning to the pages from ageing, but with no other marks or blemishes to speak of. It is signed and inscribed by the author to the front free endpaper.

The dust jacket is also in Fine condition, with just a hint of bumping to the spine ends and corners, and some slight rubbing. However, it remains in very smart condition.

In all, this collection of stories, that convey Amis’s political views through his fictional writing, is in very collectible condition and would compliment any modern first edition collection.
