Narrative of a Journey Through the Upper Provinces of India. by Reginald Heber. Vol II only
From Calcutta to Bombay, 1824-1825, (with Notes upon Ceylon), An Account of a Journey to Madras and the Southern Provinces, 1826, and Letters Written in India.
Published by John Murray, London: 1844. 8vo. Volume II only. Condition: Fair
Bound in brown leather, with some rubbing to the boards and bumping to the edges. There is some loss to the spine, with a loosening of the front board, but it remains in tact. The pages retain their brightly mottled pattern to the rims.
Inside, there is an ownership label affixed to the inside board and some age spotting to the endpapers and title page. Apart from these, however, the pages are remarkably clean and bright and show almost no signs of their age. Internally, this is a very smart book indeed.
Overall, with some attention to the binding, this would make a very good example of this volume, that would easily fit into any collection.
